Keyworker Letter

Hello, my name is Astone, I live at home with my partner Callum and our cockerbull Willis. I love to read in my (rare!) spare time and also enjoy finding new walks in North Wales to take

Willis. My favourite TV show is Supervet, I love the colour Orange and my favourite animal is a Tiger. I have worked at Sandy Bears for 5 years since I graduated university and I am now a Manager spending half of my time in the office and half in Big Bears.

I always thought I would go into teaching however my ‘stop gap’ job at Sandy Bears showed me how much more personal a nursery environment is. I love that I have a relationship with the whole family not just the child and this is why I love my roles of SENDCo and Safeguarding Officer as I am able to identify additional needs of families and work together with them to make a real difference. I LOVE being a key worker, it is amazing to be a childs first port of call when their parents aren’t there, to be greeted with an excited face every day and to have those special moments as they grow and achieve. My aim for your child starting at Sandy Bears is to get as much information from you as possible to help me understand their individual needs. I will spend lots of time with them during their transition days to ensure I become their ‘special grown up’.

I can’t wait to get to know you all.
